We have an opening for an attorney with 8-12 years of recent Arizona experience in bad faith litigation and insurance coverage. The successful candidate will assist in the defense of insurers in bad faith and coverage litigation arising primarily from home, auto, and life insurance claims. The work will include review, analysis, and recommendations to the client; formulation of case plan; disclosure, discovery and depositions; and oral argument of motions, mediation, settlement and trial.

Legal Secretary for Estate Planning and Transactional Law Group
Jaburg Wilk is hiring a Legal Secretary to join our Estate Planning and Transactional practice groups. The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience. This position plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys who focus on estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate matters. This person must also be familiar with handling transactional matters involving corporate, real estate, or business law matters and will assist with document preparation, filing, and administrative tasks related to contracts, mergers, acquisitions, leases, and other non-litigation processes.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, have keen attention to detail and the ability to manage the attorney’s calendar and workflow. Experience with document management software a plus.
Duties Include:
- Completes client data worksheets, edits, proofs, and finalizes documents and work product for accuracy. May draft documents, organize and maintain original documents for probate court, coordinate in-person signings for estate planning documents and manage deadlines.
- Communicate with clients in a professional manner over the phone, in person and electronically; complete conflict checks prior to opening client files, prepare and send engagement letters, and schedule appointments.
- Maintains electronic client files in iManage (document management software) and organizes client data and information therein.
- Utilizes Outlook calendars for calendaring, docketing, tasks management, planning and scheduling conferences, travel, signings, and other meetings, anticipating changes and adjustments, as necessary. May docket deadlines with other software.
- Serve as liaison with courts, court runners and process servers to ensure timely filing and service.
- Files pleadings manually and/or electronically with courts as required.
- Works in collaboration with paralegals and/or attorneys to manage case and projects efficiently and monitor tasks and deadlines.
- Assist with making edits and proofreading correspondence, contracts, agreements, and other complex documents in draft and in final form.
- Assist with preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care documents and related documents.
- Records documents electronically at Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.
- Knowledge of processes used for Arizona Corporation Commission, Arizona Secretary of State and Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.
- Knowledge of AZ Civil and Probate Court Rules
- Able to file pleadings in Probate, State, District and Federal Courts as required.
- Enhances firm reputation by always maintaining professionalism.
- Actively participates as part of a team of secretaries providing coverage and/or backup coverage for multiple attorneys.
- Prioritize tasks in a deadline driven environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position and typically operates in an office setting, with standard office hours. Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
